Part of FBS Group
FBS Technologies exists because the software our parent group needed did not exist. Operations across the group required systems that understood Tanzanian branches, mobile money, and statutory filings — so in 2014 we built them.
What began as internal engineering became a product company. The Flow ecosystem — platforms spanning sales, finance, people, payments, and intelligence — serves organizations from single-branch SMEs to larger institutions. Every product is proven inside the group before it reaches a customer.
Today we are an engineering-led ICT company: software, cloud, and applied AI, delivered and operated in-country. The next chapter is regional, carrying a standard we hold against anything built anywhere.

Milestones
From internal tools to a platform
2014
FBS Technologies founded
Established in Dar es Salaam to build the software the group could not buy — systems that understood Tanzanian branches, mobile money, and statutory filings.
2016
One platform, not many tools
The separate internal systems are consolidated onto a single platform with one login, one data model, and one set of shared services.
2018
FlowCRM becomes a product
The customer platform is the first Flow product offered outside the group, with WhatsApp treated as a first-class channel rather than an add-on.
2020
Offline-first and payments
FlowPOS brings full offline operation to the counter, and a shared payment layer unifies collections across mobile network operator wallets, cards, and banks.
2022
Into education and health
FlowSchool and FlowClinic extend the platform into sector-specific work — fees and examinations, clinical records and claims.
2024
Cloud and managed operations
In-country and hybrid hosting comes in-house, with monitoring, automated backups, and tested recovery under managed-operations agreements.
2026
Applied AI, and the region
Swahili-English assistants and document intelligence ship inside the products, and the company prepares for its first market beyond Tanzania.

We design for Tanzanian realities — infrastructure, regulation, language, supply chains — to a standard we would defend in any market. Local context is a constraint we engineer for, never an excuse.
